LAUREN MOONEY: COMPETITIVE PROGRAM MANAGER

 

Lauren Mooney

Lauren’s vision is creating a positive training environment, by motivating the athletes and the coaches to believe in themselves.
Lauren joined Kanata GymnoSphere in September 2015 and ever since then she had been involved in all levels of training from Pre-Elite to National Level. Lauren’s goal is to create a competitive program that is highly focused on developing athletes with excellent basics and physical abilities to progress through high levels of gymnastics. Lauren is a strong leader and strives for perfection from coaching quality and work ethics, to athlete’s preparedness.

FIODOR MARTEA: PRECOMPETITIVE & PROVINCIAL COACH

 

Fodor Martea

Fiodor graduated University of Physical Education and Sports in Bucharest, Romania and he was a member of the National Team of Republic of Moldova. As a gymnast, he was a National Champion, and was awarded at the International Championships in Russia and Ukraine. Prior to joining Kanata GymnoSphere, in August 2016, Fiodor worked in Romania and represented the team at the National Championships. At Kanata GymnoSphere, Fiodor is training athletes from pre competitive up to Level 10. Fiodor is gentle, charismatic, patient, knowledgeable and he is well loved and respected in the gymnastics community.

SOPHIE LECLAIR-ROBERTSON: DEVELOPMENTAL COACH

 

Sophie

Sophie is a former national level gymnast, Sophie began coaching at 17 and she enjoys the opportunity to share her love of the sport with the little athletes that she trains. Sophie is well loved by her athletes and colleagues for her passionate personality. While Sophie is firm, disciplined, she strives to provide her athletes with a most efficient and highly technical training. Sophie’s favourite gymnastics event is beam.

Debbie Ramsay

Debbie came to our gym all the way from England, has been a gymnastics coach for many years and loves every aspect of the sport. She is an extremely enthusiastic and dedicated coach who coaches Kinder, Trampoline and Recreational classes. In addition to coaching gymnastics, she is involved with the administration of the recreational program as part of the Recreational Management Team.

VERONIKA POLANSKA: RECREATIONAL DIRECTOR
Veronika Polanska

Veronika loves working with kids of all ages and has a passion for coaching gymnastics. She bonds with the gymnasts she coaches and is invested in helping them excel at the sport. She now focuses most of her energy in the organization and growth of the recreational program for the coaches and athletes as a Recreational Director.

MARILYN BONHEUR: KINDERGYM DIRECTOR
Marilyn Bonheur

Marilyn has been coaching gymnastics for over 7 years. Marilyn loves coaching the kinder classes as she finds it fun to watch the little ones learn and explore their abilities and find what they can do and excel at. Marilyn is an example of patience, while being very energetic. Marilyn’s vast imagination helps her relate to the Kindergym athletes.

Marilyn has vast experience in coaching special needs programs, by helping participants to gain overall strength and balance and working on getting them ready and integrated into a class setting

“I started loving rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 6 and was in a competitive program until the age of 14. I love all components of gymnastics; the performance and learning of routines, the community and the overall physical and mental benefits that come along with the sport! I began teaching artistic gymnastics at GymnoSphere in 2016 and the gymnasts always make me continue to fall in love with the sport!”
